The Artist

My inner world flows from mind to hand. Palette knife or brush, pigments and water take their natural course. I leave areas of canvas free, so the work can “breathe”. Color is vital. I mix my paints freely and frequently to obtain the tints I want. I am focused, and often work for hours at time to retain a fresh, vibrant image.

I am in love with abstraction, having discovered the joyful process of abstract work during recent years. A summer trip to Egypt inspired my most recent images. Everyday experiences spur my imagination.

A lifelong artist with formal training, I am developing a new language with my abstractions.
